Countdown 2011-1st place.

1st place-'Twilight'

Nikon D700, 17mm-35mm lens with light painting effect.

This is my 2010 favorite photo, lots of photographers capture in this location before, to make this into a total different perspective, that's my challenge. 'Conceptual' will always be my all time favorite as a photographer from commercial photography background. Guys, this will be the coming trend, trust me :) Remember where you read this :p

Thanks to Ai Ling & Cheam who giving me an opportunity to do this.

Countdown 2011-2nd place.

2nd place-'Evon Tan'.

Nikon D700, 50mm f1.4 lens.

This photo is everyone favorite, is from one of my experiment series on multiple exposure, Thanks to Evon Tan (a very pro model) & Peter Tan (with his input of 'Charlie's Angle post) who make this happen.
Guys, this is not 'Photoshop', is in-camera technique.
Coming 2011, I will do more on this.

Countdown 2011-3rd place.

3rd place-'Classic'

Nikon D700, 80mm-200mm f.2.8 lens with light painting effect.

Simply love the mood here, I like to take the challenge that 'looking at camera' shots are boring & straight forward, to me, this is not as 'easy' as 'looking off camera', it's look classic & ever lasting.
Thanks to the couple & family that treated us 1st class, good food, nice imported beer, big room at Smoke House with driver sending us up & down, really appreciate it.

Countdown 2011-4th place.

4th place-'my girl & bride'.

Leica S2, 70mm lens.

My kids always want to be like me as a photographer, sometimes my son will tag along during our shoot at wedding reception. My daughter feels jealous cause she can't 'shoot' together so I told her when you grow up, you can be a 'marketing manager', promote papa to clients. Then she ask," how & what I need to do?" I told her that you need to ask clients to visit our gallery & show them photos & she asked," How to ask clients come to our gallery?" & the idea came out, I shot this & show it to her, "this is how you get your clients back to our gallery".
Sometimes kids can give you brilliant ideas as well, haha.

Thanks to Evon Tan & my little daughter-Cayte

5th place-'Walk of life'.

Nikon D700, 17-35mm f2.8 lens.

This photo taken at Macau, is a nice place to photograph, old church, new building & nice food too :) After 2 days of shooting, I spend 6 days with Jennifer at Hong Kong, everyday just shopping, eating & shopping.

Countdown 2011-6th place.

6th place-'Angel'.

D700, 17-35mm f2.8 lens with Dicapac underwater casing.

Is not easy to pose underwater, especially during midnight hours :) This is my 1st assignment with underwater off camera flash effect, is challenging & fun! Will try more in future. Photo taken at Koh Samui.
